What your library can hold
BookTrakdB helps you keep a useful, personal record of the books in your life without forcing every format into the same narrow box.
Record titles, authors, series, formats, narrators, genres, ratings, reviews, acquisition details, dates, links, notes, and cover images. Every field is optional, so you capture as much or as little as you want.
Keep physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks together in one place. Each format keeps its own relevant fields—narrators for audiobooks, suppliers for ebooks—while staying part of a single, searchable collection.
Arrange a collection across active personal libraries, retain archived libraries when needed, and move books between libraries as your collection evolves. Duplicate detection is library-scoped, so the same title can live in different libraries.
Visualise your collection at a glance with dashboard charts for format breakdown, genre and sub-genre distribution, rating patterns, and acquisition trends. Charts are private to your account and update as your library grows.
Right-click any book to open a focused list of related records—other books by the same author, in the same series, genre, or library. Drill into your collection without leaving the page.
Find any author quickly. Search by name, see matching results instantly, and jump straight to the books you are looking for.
Download a spreadsheet template, fill in your books row by row, and import dozens or hundreds of records at once. The import preview lets you review and resolve duplicates before committing.
A built-in User Guide walks you through every part of BookTrakdB—from your first book to advanced import, export, and appearance settings. Help is always one click away inside the app.
Choose light, dark, or system-matched themes. Use Hide-Show controls to keep your interface uncluttered—hide fields or panels you do not use and reveal them again whenever you need them.
Mark books you want to revisit with a Read Again priority. Your dashboard surfaces titles you have flagged so the best of your collection is never forgotten.
BookTrakdB ships with a curated set of default genres and sub-genres so you can start cataloguing immediately. Add your own genres and sub-genres at any time, or rename existing ones to match how you think about your collection.
Bring in an existing catalogue through supported spreadsheet imports and export your records to Excel or CSV when you want a portable copy or backup.
Default genres
These default genres and sub-genres are available out of the box. You can use them as-is, add your own, or customise the list to suit your collection.
